WeCAN Volunteer Solutions is committed to providing an accessible experience for people with disabilities, in alignment with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Our commitment
- Keyboard-accessible navigation throughout the platform.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
- Sufficient color contrast on text and key UI controls.
- Semantic HTML structure and ARIA attributes where appropriate.
- Alt text on informative images.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing program, not a one-time milestone. We test as we build, and a formal third-party audit is scheduled before our public release. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us and we will address it.
